in their project to create a GPS map of Cambodia. We learned a lot from them, and also contributed a lot to their work.While the map progressed to a point where it was in fact pretty good, a group of Siem Reap users wished to spend more time and effort on making an even better GPS map of Cambodia. We requested and received permission from the Rotweilermaps Team to begin accelerated development of this map.
What you see here is the results of that work. Thanks to the individuals to worked with us in producing this map: Michael, Dorn, Song Soon (who has a logger attached to his Tuk-Tuk every day), Michael, Nok, Anderev, Paul, and all of the others who contributed to the making of this mapset.
Many internet-based companies promise GPS maps of Cambodia "Coming Soon", or "In progress" (some for years already), or worse, tell you nothing about their maps. Our GPS map of Cambodia is not vapour-ware. It is real and available now.
Our map currently contains over 480 major and principle highways; 500 other highways, 1500 arterial or collector roads, over 1400 residential roads and over 1700 unpaved rural roads (plus 85 roundabouts, 19 ferries, 23.........) and much more. The map currently has over 3600 points of interest, labelled and categorized, and fully searchable on your computer and your Garmin GPS.
A special thanks to Rotweilermaps for permitting us to use their email and PayPal collection system - otherwise, this could have been a real problem for us here.
